BOOGEY LIGHTS® LIMITED PRODUCT ONLY WARRANTY
The Boogey Lights® original-owner warranty is only available to customers who purchase genuine Boogey Lights® product from Boogey Lights® directly, this website or an authorized Boogey Lights® dealer and present the original sales receipt from that dealer. This warranty is a product-only warranty against manufacturing defects when used as directed. It does not cover reimbursement for shipping, labor or any other charges you may incur having a defective product replaced. It also does not include warranty replacement for products that are used or installed contrary to product documentation and installation directions. Warranty is not valid on products that are removed from one vehicle and installed on another as the process of removing them will damage them and void the warranty. Important to note too that with some Boogey Lights® products the lighting application and who does the installation determines the warranty term. Be sure to read the product page for specifics.
HOW TO MAKE A WARRANTY CLAIM
To make a warranty claim please initiate a support ticket using THIS LINK . Be sure to select the WARRANTY option. If you prefer, you can also call our office directly at 800.847.1359 during regular business hours to initiate a warranty claim. The warranty specifics varies depending upon the product purchased. Details of the product warranties appear below as well as on the product details listed on our website.
If your purchase was made directly from this website (or via phone), please include the original order number so we can look up the order specifics. If the purchase was made from an authorized Boogey Lights® dealer, we will request that you send us a copy of your original receipt. We will also need to know more about the problem. For example, we may follow-up with a request for photos of the issue as well details of the installation. DO NOT REMOVE OR UNINSTALL THE PRODUCT until after this warranty review process has been completed. If we request photos, you can send them to us USING THIS LINK. Be sure to have your order number handy when calling or include it with your warrant claim communication. If you have already registered your purchase using our online warranty registration us, we can look up and verify your purchase with just your name. We may require that the defective product be returned for inspection and warranty approval prior to replacement. Product that is physically damaged is not eligible for replacement under warranty. Products that have been altered or modified in ways other than those prescribed are ineligible for warranty coverage. In the event a warrantied product is discontinued and no longer available, we may elect to replace the product with the newest equivalent or in some cases, elect to refund the cost of the product at our sole discretion. Regardless, all returns must clearly display an RMA authorization number on the outside of the package.

RMA Authorization Required For Defective Returns
Defective product must be returned for inspection and warranty approval prior to replacement. Product that is physically damaged is not eligible for replacement under warranty. All returns must clearly display an RMA authorization number on the outside of the package. An RMA number will be issued by requesting an RMA number via email (select the appropriate option from the drop down box) OR by calling our office at 800-847-1359 and selecting option 2. If calling our office, please be sure to have your order number handy which will be printed on your receipt. Any shipment received at our offices without an RMA authorization number clearly listed on the package will be refused and returned to sender. Warranty Shipping Costs
Warranty is for defective product only. Does not include shipping charges. Customers pay shipping costs to return the product to Boogey Lights® for testing and evaluation. Be sure to ship using a traceable method with a tracking number. Boogey Lights® will pay ground shipping costs of replacement warranty eligible product to locations within the continental United States. Customers may elect to pay additional expedited shipping charges if desired. Additional shipping charges (including applicable taxes, duties and/or tariffs) are to be paid by customers in locations outside the continental US. If the product is not eligible for coverage under warranty (or, isn't defective), Boogey Lights® may require payment for return shipping costs before returning the product to the customer.
Low Profile Hi-Intensity LED Light Strips
Boogey Lights Low Profile Hi-Intensity LED light strips are used in a number of Boogey Lights products for a variety of vehicle applications. They can also be purchased in custom lengths and configurations as ADD-ONs or stand alone led light strips. For this reason the duration of the Boogey Lights Low Profile Hi-Intensity LED Light Strips original owner warranty varies based on the vehicle application, use and installation type. In some cases the product page will detail the warranty specifics or additional carve outs which take precedent but generally the warranty is as follows:
- Recreational Applications: RVs, Motorcycles, Golf Carts: 3 years
- Cars/Pickup Trucks/Off-Road: 1 year
- Marine / Fresh Water: 3 years
- Marine / Salt Water: 90 days
- Food/Cargo Truck/Trailer, Other Light Duty Commercial Use / Installation done by Boogey Lights technicians in Florence, KY: 3 years
- Food/Cargo Truck/Trailer, Other Light Duty Commercial Use / All other installation types: 1 year
- Heavy Duty Truck and/or Trailer Commercial Use / Installation by Boogey Lights technicians in Florence, KY: 1 year
- Heavy Duty Truck and/or Trailer Commercial Use / All other installation types: 90 days
Note: Be sure to check the product page for any changes to the above warranty durations. For example, some of our motorcycle kits that use these low profile hi-intensity surface mounted LED strips offer a lifetime original owner warranty. If so, the product page will indicate as such.
RGBWW Low Profile LED Strips
RGBWW LOW PROFILE LED strips are designed primarily for awning light (or interior) applications. We offer a one year warranty on these strips. Do not install them for under-glow or end cap applications as they do not have the same PCB structure. They will fail prematurely when used in those applications and are not covered under warranty when installed this way.
Heavy Duty Hi-Intensity LED Light Strips
Boogey Lights Heavy Duty Hi-Intensity LED light strips have a 3 year, original owner limited warranty when used in or on recreational vehicle applications; one year original owner warranty when used in or on commercial vehicle applications.
NOTE ON EXTENDED USE. We do not recommend leaving your Boogey Lights® on for 24 hours a day. The LEDs used in these products are very bright; the brightest 12vdc LED lights available. They're designed to be used for accent lighting applications where they are typically powered on for a few hours (rarely at the highest brightest setting) and then powered off. While they can be used in functional lighting applications (e.g. bright white to temporarily illuminate a work area), the lights should not be left powered on for extended periods of time (e.g. 6+ hours) particularly on white and at the highest brightness setting. If the LEDs are left powered on for long periods of time the LEDs closest to the power source will have a burned look to them over time. This is because the amount of voltage being pulled through the LEDs closest to the power source will be higher than the voltage going through the LEDs further down the strip. The end result is that those LEDs closest to the power source will be hotter thus creating the burned look. This will occur mostly when displaying the color white on the full brightness setting but can also occur with other colors if left on at the highest brightness setting. For this reason, we do not suggest leaving these LED lights powered up for extended periods of time particularly on their brightest setting. If you are going to leave the lights on for extended periods of time, we recommend never doing so on the color white and not on the highest brightness setting. Burned looking LEDs are NOT covered under warranty.
Cut N’ Click™
Cut N’ Click™ Flexible LED strips have a limited three year warranty to the original purchaser. This warranty covers any defect in material or workmanship that causes any of the LEDs not to light. The warranty does not cover damage to the LEDs, connectors or the strips resulting from improper handling, installation, corrosion, misuse or abuse as determined by Boogey Lights®. This warranty is not transferable. Cutting this product into smaller pieces in no way voids your warranty as it would with other products, as long as you cut the strips along the lines marked with the scissor icons.
LED Controllers
Boogey Lights LED controllers have a 1 year to 3 year, original owner limited product warranty depending upon the application and installation environment. Warranty does not cover batteries or the failure of a single wireless RF remote. The warranty does not cover damage to the LED controller, LEDs, connectors or the strips resulting from improper handling, improper installation (process and location), using with other manufacturer's components, misuse or abuse as determined by Boogey Lights®. Errors in wiring such as reverse polarity connections, shorting the output wires or connecting to power sources other than 12vdc power void the warranty entirely. This warranty is not transferable.
