Hi-Intensity Multi-Color Sport Bike 144 LED Light Kit

For our Sport Bike customers we've put together a solid 144 LED accent lighting foundation that works for just about any brand or model of sport bike.

Every bike is a bit different so we've designed this kit as a starting point to light up the most requested area on sport bikes - inside the fairings, ground efx, rear swing arm area and under the front fairing. Built on our Hi-Intensity Motorsports LED strips, these strips have more LEDs per inch than comparable strips on the market today. More LEDs means more light shining on your engine!

This kit uses a new and improved configuration of our Value and Premium Series LED strips. Built with two ounce copper PCB, the brightest 5050 LEDs available and 1.2mm of genuine 3M® VHB double sided tape, these LED strips are made tough for motor sports applications. Impressively bright, our Hi-Intensity LED strips are thin so they can barely be seen when attached to the bottom of your tank. They produce a smooth, even glow of light. This 144 LED kit lights your motorcycle engine and ground below with any of seven different colors and animate them with special effects using the included wireless RF remote control. Upgrade options include our Bluetooth controller as well as our LED controller with Brake Light interface. Original owner lifetime warranty on the LED strips.

Check out the INSTALLATION tab for more details on placement.

Kit Options

Wireless Controller Options

  • PLUS Series Controller: Updated to handle more lights. Rated to 300 LEDs - maybe more depending on your installation. Perfect for those who want to light it all up and then some! This controller is offered with your choice of our popular RF wireless remoter (2 KEY FOBs included), our Bluetooth only wireless controller (use your own Bluetooth enabled smartphone) or our industry first COMBO Controller with provides both RF and Bluetooth capabilities in one controller. It measures 2-1/2" x 1-3/4" x 7/8".
  • SUPER Series Controller: We took this up another notch. Rated to 900 LEDs - maybe more depending on your installation. Perfect for Can Am Spyders, Electra Glides, Gold Wings or other large cruisers, trikes and those who pull a trailer and want it lit up. Also works great on golf carts, cars, trucks or any vehicle requiring numerous strips or rolls of lights. The controller is a bit larger at 4-1/4" x 2-1/4" x 7/8".

Optional Safety Feature - Brake Light Interface. The optional BRAKE LIGHT INTERFACE includes circuitry that when connected to the brake light circuit, will turn multi-color accent lights to red whenever the brakes are engaged. Based on our popular Multi-Function FIREWORKS controller, features include color switching, blending, strobe, breathing, and flashing functions. Includes two wireless RF FOB's. NOTE: The Bluetooth version of this controller with the Brake Light interface is a SERIES 1 controller and as such, does not include the programmable color rotation feature.

Note: Our controllers have built in protection against overload, short circuit or reverse polarity situations. If it detects any problems the controller will shutdown and not function until the fault is repaired. While these are rated for a specific number of LED's your particular installation may affect the actual number of LED's you can run on these controllers.

If you prefer a WIRED controller option (vs wireless), we offer several alternatives to our wireless controllers. Let us know you would prefer a WIRED controller and we'll adjust the price for you.

BLUETOOTH: Original Firmware vs Series 2 Firmware

With the introduction of our SERIES 2 controller firmware the Boogey Lights® Bluetooth APP and controller offer the ability to program the controller to display two or three colors of your choice and then rotate those colors in sequence. For example, let's say it's Fourth of July and you want your lights to rotate through the color sequence of RED, WHITE and BLUE . Or, perhaps your favorite sports team's colors are Red and White and you want your RV or motorcycle to continually rotate through a color sequence of RED and WHITE. This SERIES 2 firmware controller and smartphone APP will do that - and more. You can for instance vary the speed of the sequence as well as the brightness. You can also choose from one of two different sequencing effect modes: BREATHING or ROLLING. Additionally, you can save these configurations in up to 3 presets such that you're able to recall the lighting configuration with a press of a button. This functionality only works when using your Bluetooth device - not with the included RF wireless remote control.

We offer the Original Bluetooth Firmware controller at a reduce price because it does not offer the color rotation programming capability included in the SERIES 2. The Original Firmware version however is still a very capable Bluetooth LED Controller. You can for example control your LED lights using your smartphone to select from up to 16 million color combinations, flashing, strobing, breathing, color changing, dimming and on/off. There are three preset options too which allow you to save your favorite light settings. The Original Bluetooth Firmware is a great option for the budget conscious shopper who wants Bluetooth connectivity but wants to save some money.

COMBO RF + BLUETOOTH. Smartphone BLUETOOTH and RF Wireless Combined In ONE Controller. Our new COMBO controller combines the best of our RF and Bluetooth controllers into one simple to use controller. You can operate this controller with the included RF wireless Key FOBs OR you can use your Bluetooth 4.0 enabled smartphone and our free smartphone APP (Android and IOS). They work interchangeably. With the included Key FOBs you get all of the functionality of our popular Fireworks Multi-Function Remote Control that allows you to change between 7 colors and functions of on/off, blending, strobing, breathing, flashing and fading. You can also use your Bluetooth enabled smartphone to create that custom look with over 16 million different color combinations plus three pre-sets. This new COMBO Bluetooth + RF controller is offered in our PLUS, SUPER and HEAVY DUTY controller models.

Extra 3M Adhesion Primer

3M Promoter is a powerful adhesion primer. It's an essential step in the installation process but you don't need much of it to make it work. A simple single swipe on the surface you're mounting the light strip to is all you need. Our lighting kits include enough 3M Adhesion Primer to mount the strips in the kit for most installations. Some customers however feel better if they "paint" the mounting surface completely with it -- which is fine if you want to but not necessary. The problem is that 3M Adhesion Primer isn't readily available everywhere; particularly weekends, holidays and evenings. If you use all of the primer that's included with the kit but run out before you're finished, you'll have to wait to finish the job until you get more adhesion primer. If you're one of those people who would prefer to have a little adhesion primer left-over just in case, we offer the option of adding additional tubes to your order. Or, if you prefer, an entire 8oz can of 3M Adhesion Primer can be added to your order.

Installation Tips

This kit has been designed to light up the areas inside the left fairing, right fairing, bottom fairing, front fairing (top of front wheel area) and under the rear fender. The idea is to install the light strips onto the backside of the fairing so the light pours out and around any vents/openings you have on your bike. Not all bikes and brands will work the same so you'll need to take a look at your bike to see what fits. The kit includes a variety of LED strip lengths to fit pretty much any bike. If necessary, you can also cut the LED strip. Just be sure to cut it where indicated on the strip (between the scissor marks every 3 LED clusters). If cutting the strip, you'll also need to seal the open end with some liquid electrical tape (or similiar substance). You don't want moisture getting into the strip from that cut end. You will need to remove the fairing to do this install. On our Honda Repsol we used the following layout to light around the side vents on each side of the bike, under the bike, under the front fairing and under the rear fender area. We have included some photos of this installation in the product carousel photos. Installation time:  3-5 hours.  Your install may be different:

Left Fairing

  • 1 – 24 LED strip w/18" power lead
  • 1 – 12 LED strip w/18" power lead
  • 1 – 18 LED strip w/18" power lead
  • 1 – 48" wire harnesses with quick-disconnect runs back to the LED controller. The three LED strips connect to the other end of this harness. When removing the fairing, simply use the quick-disconnect to remove the fairing from the bike with the LEDs attached.

Right Fairing

  • 1 – 24 LED strip w/18" power lead
  • 1 – 12 LED strip w/18" power lead
  • 1 – 18 LED strip w/18" power lead
  • 1 – 48" wire harnesses with quick-disconnect runs back to the LED controller. The three LED strips connect to the other end of this harness. When removing the fairing, simply use the quick-disconnect to remove the fairing from the bike with the LEDs attached.

Bottom Fairing

  • 2 – 6 LED strips w/24" power lead
  • 1 – 3 LED strip w/24" power lead
  • 1 – 48" wire harnesses with quick-disconnect runs back to the LED controller. The three LED strips connect to the other end of this harness. When removing the fairing, simply use the quick-disconnect to remove the fairing from the bike with the LEDs attached.

Front Fairing (Area on top of Front Fender)

  • 1 – 6 LED strip w/72" power lead (connects back to the controller in the rear compartment)

Rear Fender Area

  • 2 – 6 LED strips w/24" power lead
  • 1 – 3 LED strip w/24" power lead

We installed the push-button switch on the left side of the bike just beneath the seat. The push-button provides for a quick power-off option that cuts all power going to the LED controller. This way the controller won't drain your battery if your bike is sitting for a long time.

Remember when cutting a strip you will need to seal the end of the LED strip to make a watertight and insulated seal. You can use a dab of silicone or liquid electrical tape if you have some. This kit is easy for a do-it-yourselfer. Includes all you need other than a few hand tools. This kit is fully expandable and allows you to easily add additional strips in the future.

Note: We always recommend dry fitting or temporarily mounting the lights before installation to make sure you get the look you want. The suggestions above are our recommendations. The final mounting location for the lights comes down to your personal preference. So put them where it makes sense to you and for your bike.
