A Word about Delivery Time Frames

Boogey Lights® Installation Services

We offer factory installation services for our LED light kits in our Florence, KY facility located at 9000 Empire Connector Drive Ste B, Florence KY 41042. Installation is by appointment only and in most cases, will require you to leave your vehicle for the day (sometimes longer).  We are typically booked 30 days out, sometimes further.  We do however get cancellations which allows us to fit in installations at the last minute.  Also, not all installs take as long as we expect which opens up an installation bay at the last minute.  Call Us (800.847.1359), Text Us  (859.955.8155) or Email Us to check for last minute availability.

To schedule an installation appointment, select the Schedule Installation option on our CONTACT US page. We accept appointments Monday through Saturday. Our shop rate is $95 hour (Monday - Friday) plus shop supplies with a one hour minimum. Service time is billed in 15 minute increments thereafter. Saturday shop rate billed at a rate of $125/hour.  Sunday/Holiday shop rate  billed at a rate of $150/hour. Q: I purchased a Boogey Lights LED light kit online. Can you install that kit for me?
A: We are happy to install a Boogey Lights LED light kit you purchased from us online. Be aware however that in most cases we will not install the very same light kit you received. Instead, we'll take back the kit you purchased and give you credit for that kit. Then, after taking measurements of your vehicle, we will build out and install a light kit that fits your specific vehicle. Because we are the manufacturer, we are able to build these light kits on-site to fit your specific vehicle which is the main reason customers drive from all over the country to have us do the installation. Each light kit we install is custom built to fit the vehicle in our installation bay. Our experience has been that no two vehicles are exactly the same. There are always some differences. Having the ability to measure and build the light kit on-site is a huge advantage.

Q: Can we stay overnight at your facility if the installation requires more than one day?
A: If your vehicle has bed and bathroom facilities, you're welcome to stay in our secured gated facility for the duration of your visit with us. In fact, we offer 50amp electrical service at no charge to our customers for this very reason (sorry, no sewer or water). It's not unusual too for customers to arrive the night before their scheduled appointment or even stay an additional night after the install is complete. Our facility is large enough to accommodate multiple large vehicles of 80' or more with plenty of room to maneuver. Q: I have some lights I purchased elsewhere I'd like to have installed on my vehicle. Can you install those lights too?
A: We are BOOGEY INC. dba BOOGEY LIGHTS. We manufacture and install Boogey Lights brand of high performance LED lighting systems. We aren't an RV service center, truck/auto repair shop or lighting accessory installation facility. Our core competency is designing and manufacturing our unique brand of LED lighting systems and installing those systems on just about anything that moves. We only install Boogey Lights LED lighting systems. Insurance regulations do not allow us to perform work that is not directly related to the installation of Boogey Lights LED lighting systems.

NOTE: If your vehicle already has another company's lighting system installed, our policy is not to get involved in work that would require us to remove that lighting system. Instead, we suggest taking your vehicle to a qualified service center who is insured specifically for repair work for your type of vehicle. They will be able to warranty any work they do for you. Why? We are the manufacturer of Boogey Lights high performance LED lighting systems. We aren't an RV service center, repair shop or lighting accessory installation facility. Our core competency is designing and manufacturing our LED lighting systems and installing those systems on just about anything that moves. We only install Boogey Lights LED lighting systems. Insurance regulations do not allow us to perform work that is not directly related to the installation of Boogey Lights LED lighting systems.

Typical Installation Time Frames

Estimates assume two people doing the install. If only one, multiple the time by 1.5.

RVs

  • Awning Light (not on slide-out): 1.5 - 3 hours
  • Awning Light (on slide-out): 2 - 4 hours
  • Awning Light integration with existing On/Off factory switch:  1 hour per switch connection
  • Top of Slide-Out: 2 - 4 hours
  • Under Slide-Out: 2 - 4 hours
  • Standard Under-Glow: 3-4 hours
  • Under-Glow Add-On: 1 additional hour per Add-on
  • Motor Homes: If your house batteries are located behind the drive axle on the driver's side, add 1.5 - 3 hours. If on the passenger's side behind the drive axle, add 1-1.5 hours.
  • Full Perimeter U/G: 6 - 10 hours depending upon configuration 
  • Rock-Guard Light Kit w/UG + TTB: 4-6 hours
  • Rock-Guard Light Kit w/UG: 2-3 hours
  • Rock-Guard Light Kit w/TTB: 3-4 hours
  • Engine Light Kit integration with UG:  2 hours
  • LED End Cap Replacement:  2-3 hours for single color.  5 - 6 hours for multi-color.  Note: Multi-color requires the cutting of at least one access panel (typically 8"x 8") on the inside wall facing the end cap.  

Note: In almost all cases, it will be necessary to drill into the RV; this is particularly true for awning light kits and/or lights attached to slide-outs. It's unavoidable for a professional installation. We of course make every effort to minimize the number of holes and seal all holes with Lexel and/or Butyl tape. We will discuss the installation process with you once we are able to inspect the RV in person.

Semi-Truck

  • Under-Cab w/Controller: 4 - 6 hours
  • Grill Light: 2 - 3 hours
  • Under- Front Bumper: 2 - 2.5 hours
  • Hood Air Vent Lights: 2 - 2.5 hours
  • Rear Fairing Lights: 4 - 6 hours 
  • Add Tail/Turn/Brake integration to rear fairing lights: Add 3-4 hours 
  • Under-Glow (frame rails): 3 - 5 hours
  • Add-On Strips: .5 - 1 hour per strip depending upon placement location and wiring
  • Breather/Air-Cleaner Lights: 2-3 hours depending upon configuration.

Motorcycle

  • Sport Bike: 6-8 hours
  • Touring & Bagger: 6-12 hours depending on the bike
  • Gold Wing: 8-14 hours depending on the bike
  • Trike: 6-12 hours depending on the bike
  • Add-On Strips: .5 - 1 hour per strip

    Note: The above hours estimate are for standard LED accent light kit installs (e.g. engine lights, horn, breather, under-glow, brake calipers, under bags). If additional lighting is requested, there will be additional time required. Also, there are some areas we typically will avoid lighting including the inside of speakers and in areas where there is factory-installed fairing lighting.  These areas are difficult to get to without significant tear down and often can only be lit using custom designed lights and/or mounting brackets.   If the project requires removal of existing LED lighting, there will be additional time required.

ATV | SXS | Golf Cart

  • Under-Glow w/controller: 2-3 hours
  • Add-On Strips: .5 - 1 hour per strip
  • Add grill light: 1 - 1.5 hours
  • Add cab/internal/roof light: 1 - 1.5 hours

Cars / Pickup Trucks

  • Under-Glow (base kit w/2 strips) w/controller: 3-4 hours
  • Front + Rear Add-On Under-Glow: 2 hours (1 hour per)
  • Grill Lighting: 2-5 hours depending upon complexity of the grill removal process.
  • Hellcat Grille Light Kit: 5 hours.  Add 1 hour for Hood Scoop/Vent lights.
  • Wheel well lights: .5-1 hour per wheel

Marine

  • Base 2 strip light kit w/controller: 3-4 hours
  • Add-On Strips: .5 - 1 hour per strip

Food Trucks/Trailers, Utility/Horse/Cargo Trailers

  • Awning or LED Light strip mounted to the side of the trailer (not on slide-out): 1.5 - 3 hours
  • Under-Glow: 2 - 4 hours
  • Add-On Strips: .5 - 1 hour per strip depending upon placement and power connection

 

Time frames are estimates. We will provide a not to exceed number once we know specifically which kit(s) you want installed and have a chance to review the vehicle. All installation work is warranted for one year at our facility in Florence, KY.   Note:  An installation schedule deposit may be required at the time the installation appointment is booked.
