Mini-POD Hi-Intensity LEDs
New Product! Boogey Lights Mini-POD LEDs easily attach to just about anywhere on a motorcycle, golf-cart, atv, RV, truck, car or trailer. They produce an incredible amount of light for such a small footprint. Each Mini-POD contains four hi-intensity 5050 LEDs enclosed in a sonic-welded plastic case for protection from water, dirt and dust. Each Mini-POD includes 36" power lead. Available in WHITE, BLUE, GREEN, RED, ORANGE and RGB.
Attach with 3M Tape and Promoter. While there are a number of ways you can mount these MINI-PODS to your ride we recommend using our 3M Double-Sided Tape and Promoter Kit. Using authentic 3M automotive adhesive tape ensures these MINI-PODS will stay where you put them. One tape and promoter kit will attach up to 10 MINI-PODS.
All Boogey Lights® LED strips are COMMON CATHODE LEDS. They share a common ground and will only work with positively switched controllers. Most LED strips on the market today are COMMON ANODE because the controller technology used to power them is less expensive to manufacture. However they're not nearly as bright and are an overall inferrior design when compared with COMMON CATHODE LEDs.

Why you should be skeptical of Lumens Ratings
Truth is, most lumens ratings being advertised for similiar LED accent lighting products are meaningless. They are presented solely for marketing purposes with no bearing whatsoever on the quality or intensity of the final lighting product. The dirty little secret is marketers will often advertise lumens values without knowing if those values are accurate or even relevant to the product they're selling. While the manufacturer of the LED emitter may provide an accurate lumens value for one single LED used in the product assembly, that value often has no relevance to the finished product the customer receives. This is because virtually all accent lighting products made specifically for motorsports applications contain multiple LEDs attached to or embedded on or in a plastic housing and/or coated or encased with or in some additional substance. The manner in which the LED is mounted, configured, positioned and protected in the final product assembly absolutely impacts the ultimate level of brightness produced by the light assembly. By the time the product is brought to market the advertised lumens value has virtually zero relevance to the product the customer receives. This is why at Boogey Lights® all of our LUX ratings are done in the USA using a National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) certified light meter and light box on the final, fully assembled product we ship to customers.

LUX ratings are done in the USA using a National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) certified light meter and 3 cubic foot light box on the final, fully assembled product as delivered to the customer. While higher LUX values can be obtained using higher input voltages and a smaller light box, we use input voltage of 12.6vdc and a three foot cubic light box because we beleive this configuration to be an accurate representation of real-world use of our lighting products.
