New Product! Boogey Lights® has always been known for our high-quality, super bright LED light strips. Our new HI-DENSITY low-profile LEDs take brightness to a whole new level. We took our time-tested Value Series 5050 super-bright hi-intensity LEDs and mounted them on two ounce copper PCB as close together as possible. The end result is an ultra-bright super-intense concentrated amount of light in a small area. In fact, these lights are so bright we don't recommend looking at them directly! Like all of our Value Series LED products these HI-DENSITY lights are built on two ounce copper PCB with 1.2mm of industrial strength genuine 3M adhesive affixed to the back making them ideal for motorsports applications. There is a 36" power lead. These lights are ideal for installations where you want to absolutely flood an area with the brightest light possible. Our HI-DENSITY low profile LEDs are available in 6, 12, 18 and 24 LED configurations. Color options are: WHITE, BLUE, RED, ORANGE, GREEN and RGB (multi-color).
- 6 LEDs: 58 mm long (approximately 2-1/4")
- 12 LEDs: 116 mm long (approximately 4-1/2")
- 18 LEDs: 174 mm long (approximately 6-3/4")
- 24 LEDs: 232 mm long (approximately 9")
(all Hi-Density strips are 10mm wide)
Power Lead: 36"
Power Input: 12vdc
Max Amperage: 6 LEDs=.15, 12 LEDs=.29, 18 LEDs=.44, 24 LEDs=.57
(Note: The colors white and blue pull the max amps. The remaining colors use less power.)
RGB light strip requires a Boogey Lights® positively switched controller to operate.
Three year original owner warranty.
All Boogey Lights® LED strips are COMMON CATHODE LEDS. They share a common ground and will only work with positively switched controllers. Most LED strips on the market today are COMMON ANODE because the controller technology used to power them is less expensive to manufacture. However they're not nearly as bright and are an overall inferrior design when compared with COMMON CATHODE LEDs.
LUX vs LUMENS? We use LUX — Here's Why
|SINGLE COLOR HI-DENSITY STRIPS||LUX
|RGB HI-DENSITY STRIPS||LUX
|Yellow / Amber||56||123||161||217|
LUX ratings are done in the USA using a National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) certified light meter and 3 cubic foot light box on the final, fully assembled product as delivered to the customer. While higher LUX values can be obtained using higher input voltages and a smaller light box, we use input voltage of 12.6vdc and a three foot cubic light box because we beleive this configuration to be an accurate representation of real-world use of our lighting products.

I've installed several sets of the 8.5" strip lights in some enclosed trailers. The low amperage draw allows me to tie them into the existing fixtures. I remove the fixture, notch it with a dremel tool and run the wire into the fixture. I also swap the incandescent bulbs in the fixtures with retro fit LEDs. The retro bulbs don't add much light on their own but combination makes the interior super bright.
