Flatbed or Rollback LED Side Lights

Add LED lights to the side of your flatbed or rollback with Boogey Lights® high-performance LED light strips and aluminum channels. Available in single color and multicolor configurations, this LED light kit includes both the LED light strips and the aluminum channels (with opaque diffusers and Lexel adhesive sealant) to complete the installation. Boogey Lights® super bright LEDs are 12vdc lights designed for use in commercial applications. These side lights can be added to virtually any flatbed or rollback side rail that has 3/4" of smooth, flat, mountable space to secure the aluminum channel to the bed. Then, the LED strip attaches to the aluminum channel with the plastic opaque diffuser snapping in over top after sealing the strip with Lexel adhesive which is included in the kit. Depending on the lighting configuration, the LEDs can be wired to the truck's running lights or, you can add additional switching capabilities to make the lights strobe and flash. With the multi-color version you can operate the lights and adjust the color displayed using the handheld RF wireless remote or the Bluetooth APP. This product is SOLD IN PAIRS — one set for each side of the bed.

NOTE: This product assumes the same number of LED strips and aluminum channels are required for each side of the flatbed. So if for example you select a 10' long LED strip from the drop down, you're going to receive two 10' long LED strips + channels (one for each side of the truck). If you don't need two LED strips/aluminum channels, you can order them separately from our COMPONENTS section here: Low Profile LED Strips, Aluminum Channels.

DOT COMPLIANCE: The AMBER and RED single color LED strips offered on this product are DOT COMPLIANT. They conform to applicable provisions of the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 108 requirements.

READ THIS BEFORE ORDERING!

Our advanced lighting systems offer extensive customization and features - more than any other lighting system - so understanding the details is key to getting the results you want. Please take a moment to read this entire product page, starting with the FAQs below and continuing through all sections. Be sure to also check the INSTALL tab for downloadable installation documentation and wiring diagrams. These contain critical pre-purchase and setup information you need to review upfront.

Successful installation requires reading the written installation directions. While our How-To Videos offer helpful overviews, they do not replace the detailed documentation. Reading the instructions carefully is essential for proper fit, function, and long-term performance. Most support calls and warranty claims we receive stem from customers who don't read this information. Please take our advice and read the directions. We promise, you'll be happy with the results if you do.

FAQS | Frequently Asked Questions

While we encourage you to read all of the information presented on this product page (including the information on the navigation tabs), below are some of the most frequently asked questions we get about this product. In all cases, the answers to these FAQs will refer you to other sections of this product page for more details on the topic.

Do I really need to read the installation instructions?

Whether or not you read the installation instructions is up to you. What we can tell you is the vast majority of folks who have problems with this product are those who ignore our strong suggestions to read the product details and the product installation instructions before proceeding. Of course, they're also the same folks who, when the product fails or doesn't operate as they thought it should, are the first to complain. Simply put, if you're going to purchase this product we urge you to read and follow the directions. You'll be happy you did.

How difficult is this LED Light Kit to install?

On a scale of 1-10, installing these LED strips is a 3 or 4 (scale of 1-10 with 10 being the most difficult). The level of difficulty depends usually on how you're going to route the wiring and switching. Since most flatbed / rollback beds move, making sure the wiring moves with the bed can take some time. Also, how you power and control the lights too will impact installation time frame and skill required. For many wreckers, there's already existing wiring (and switching) in place to support single color lights. If your wrecker doesn't have existing wiring and/or switching in place, you'll have to add it. Same for multi-color lighting. The good news is that none of this is terribly difficult to do. Anyone familiar with 12vdc lighting can install these lighting systems. Just make sure whomever is doing the installation is willing to read the installation documentation we provide. We realize most people don’t like to read instructions. In this instance however, we strongly encourage whomever is doing the installation to resist that urge. Seriously, we’ve been building these light kits a long time; tens of thousands of them. Our observation is the folks who have problems with their lighting system have one thing in common: they didn’t read the instructions. It’s no joke. Reading the instructions is something you must be willing to do if you want your lighting system to work properly — and last. Ignoring this advice will almost always end badly. This light kit will come with detailed installation documentation including mounting instructions, wiring diagrams and component operating information. In fact, we suggest downloading these installation docs for this light kit before ordering so you know what's involved.

Regardless of the lighting configuration, you must have an understanding of 12vdc power. An essential skill with installation of any Boogey Lights® LED products is knowing how to correctly wire the product to a 12vdc circuit. This includes understanding the importance of having a properly sized fuse at the power source, polarity, how to properly seal an electrical connection, using properly sized wire gauge for the load, measuring voltage and measuring the additional amperage draw you're adding. If you are uncertain or unfamiliar with any of these concepts, we urge you to ask someone who has the knowledge to assist you.

How are the Aluminum Channels secured to the flatbed?

We typically will rivet them to the bed however you can also use 3M VHB tape with 3M Adhesion Primer too.

Can I display RED and WHITE with the ability to strobe/flash them?

Absolutely! Order the RGB LED strip along with three heavy duty relays (you can also purchase these same heavy duty relays at any automotive store). For RED, power on only the red diodes on the RGB strip. For WHITE, apply 12vdc power to all three of the diodes: red + green + blue = bright white. The three relays are needed to isolate each of the red, green and blue diodes on their own. For strobing/flashing, use our Dual Zone strobing single color LED controller. Wire ZONE ONE to the relay controlling the RED diodes. Wire ZONE TWO to each of the three relays controlling the red, green and blue diodes. Zone 1 = RED. Zone 2 = WHITE.

How much amperage do these LEDs draw?

It depends on the number of LEDs, the color being displayed and the input voltage. If you click on the SPECS navigation tab on this product page you'll find a section titled, AMPERAGE DATA. That section has detailed amperage information. You can also use our Amperage Estimator to help with planning your installation.

Can I easily remove my Boogey Lights® and transfer them to another truck?

The short answer is NO. Boogey Lights® are designed to be permanently mounted to your truck. While it's possible to remove the LED strips with some effort, the process of doing so will in most cases ruin the LED strips making them unusable (voids the warranty too). You can remove the LED CONTROLLER (and related battery connections) if you'd like for use elsewhere but removing the LED strips and related wiring isn't realistic in terms of reusing them on another truck. Installing Boogey Lights® on any vehicle should be viewed as a permanent installation only.

I've purchased other LED light strips from Amazon and EBay. Candidly, they're not very good and didn't last long on my truck. What makes Boogey Lights® different?

We're glad you asked! First, like most things in life, you get what you pay for. This is especially true in the LED lighting world. We make no apologies that Boogey Lights® are the most expensive LED lighting system you can buy. There's a reason for that. Second, everything about Boogey Lights® is different than any other LED lighting product you have used. There is no comparison. Not only are the LED lights built differently, so too is the LED Controller technology. For an in-depth, deep dive into these differences, check out this page: WHAT MAKES BOOGEY LIGHTS® DIFFERNT. But don't take our word for it, read through some of our first person customer reviews: BOOGEY LIGHTS® REVIEWS. These reviews will give you insight into what others are saying about our products.

Are these lighting systems able to operate in all kinds of weather? Will they hold up?

Absolutely! Our lighting systems are designed to be used on all kinds of vehicles that operate in all kinds of weather. When installed properly, these systems will continue to function on all kinds of vehicles in all kinds of weather conditions for many years. Our Low Profile LED strips are IP65 rated. Our LED strips can be submerged in water for short periods of time. They're not however marine grade LEDs which are specifically designed to operate under-water. Note that for our Low Profile product that are installed flat against the side of a service truck like these are, we strongly suggest smearing some LEXEL CLEAR ADHESIVE on the LED strip. Doing so will help protect the side of the LED strip from water intrusion. We include Lexel adhesive in this kit for this reason. We detail this process in the install docs.

All Boogey Lights® LED Controllers are water resistant and can be used outdoors. They are not however water proof. They should not be submerged in water or subjected to direct water contact for long periods of time. It's certainly OK for them to get wet though. For longevity and best performance, we recommend mounting the LED Controller in a location that will be protected from the elements and in particular, direct water contact. Note too the LED controller should be mounted in an area where there is sufficient air flow around the box to keep it from over-heating. This is particularly true if the number LEDs you have connected to the controller is within 25% of the controller's maximum capacity. The more LEDs you add, the hotter the LED controller will get particularly as it approaches maximum capacity.

What is Priority Processing?

If the product configuration you're purchasing is eligible for PRIORITY PROCESSING, you can select 'YES' (default is 'NO') and your order will be given priority in our build queue such that we'll build and ship your order using the shipping method you selected at checkout within TWO business days (or less) regardless of what the current build time estimate states. There are limitations on this so be sure to scroll down and read the section titled 'What is Priority Processing?' further down on this product page.

Where can I get a Boogey Lights® LED light system installed on my truck?

You can check out our dealer locator here: https://www.boogeylights.com/dealer-locator/ . That said, there's nothing special about the installation process. Any 12vdc accessory shop for example or independent shop can install them. These aren't complicated systems requiring special training or special tools. Anyone who understands 12vdc power, has some basic tools (along with the knowledge to use them) and can read detailed instructions and view how to videos online can do it. It's pretty simple stuff. Of course some installations are more complicated than others. For example, installing an under-glow LED lighting system on a semi-truck is more easily done if the shop has a lift or pit that allows the technicians to easily get under the truck to mount the LED strips and run the cabling.

If you're driving in or through the Northern Kentucky / Cincinnati metro area, we offer factory installation services. More detail about our installation services here: https://www.boogeylights.com/boogey-lights-installation-services/. For most installations you'll need to book an appointment which you can do online using this real-time installation scheduler. Our facility is easily accessible from I75/I71 and has plenty of space for tractor/trailers. Our address is 9000 Empire Connector Drive Suite B, Florence KY 41042. We're about one mile off the I75/I71 Florence KY exit.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW

This light kit uses our LOW PROFILE LED strips and ALUMINUM CHANNEL W/PLASTIC DIFFUSER. The LOW PROFILE LED strip is IP65 rated and is 3/8" wide x 3/16" high. The Aluminum Channel is about .7" wide x .4" high. Each LED strip has a 15' power lead (22AWG) permanently secured to one end of the LED strip. The other end of the power lead is bare wire. The maximum length of a single LED strip is 16'. For bed rail lengths of 18' to 32', you'll receive two LED strips for each side which are mounted end to end. The Aluminum Channels are produced in lengths of 1 meter (~39") and 2 meters (78"). You'll receive more aluminum channel than needed for your installation so some cutting of these channels (and plastic diffusers) will be required to do the installation. A tube of Lexel adhesive is included with the kit to seal the LEDs inside the channel. We also include 50' of 18awg power lead cable to help make the power lead connections back to the power source.

HOW TO ORDER

  1. Look at your flatbed or rollback bed and measure the amount of room you have to mount the LED strip to the side of the bed. Nothing says you had to cover the entire bed width. Keep in mind you need a smooth, straight, flat surface to mount the aluminum channel to. You can not mount the channel on top of or go over bolt heads, screw heads, gussets, flanges and the like. Must be one smooth continuous mounting surface. Make sure you have at least 3/4" of room for the channel to attach to the bed. This measurement is the number that you'll choose for the BED RAIL LENGTH option on the product page above.
  2. Select the LED COLOR. Amber is the default color setting since that's the most popular however you'll notice we offer a wide variety of additional colors. If you select the RGB Multicolor option, you'll need an LED controller which is why you'll be asked to make a selection of either a Single Zone or Dual Zone LED controller. More details about that are here on this product page.
  3. For Single Color options, you can use your own switching or we offer additional single color switching. More information about those options are below.
  4. For the Aluminum Channel option, we offer two colors: silver (traditional aluminum color) or black. The default is silver.
  5. Priority Processing is an option for those who need 2 business day turn around. See details about this option below.

SINGLE COLOR OPTIONS

If you're ordering any of the Single Color options, you'll be presented with the option to add on/off switches or even our single color Dual Zone flasher controller to the order. This is an option. The default is 'none'. If selecting the Dual Zone Controller with any of the single color or dual-color options, you'll receive our Strobing Dual Zone single color controller. Designed primarily for commercial, working truck applications this heavy duty LED controller is ideal for situations where you need to control (on/off), strobe or flash large numbers of single color LEDs. A typical scenario is with wide load truck haulers, wreckers and tow trucks. A typical scenario is with wide load truck haulers, wreckers and tow trucks. The unique dual zone capability allows the lights to be segregated into two distinct lighting zones if that's what you want to do.

For example zone one might be red LEDs and zone two amber LEDs. Another option could be to assign the two zones into LEDs mounted on different parts of the truck (underglow = white, flatbed side lighting = amber). Each zone can be operated independently or together. In addition to ON/OFF control, STROBING and FLASHING, there's a STEADY-ON mode that offers dimming. All of these features are operated using the included wireless RF handheld remote.

Each zone will support up to 1500 tri-chip 5050 LEDs (20Amps) which means a total of 3000 tri-chip LEDs on a single LED controller. The operating modes include strobing, 3 burst flash and solid on. The speed can be adjusted and there's a brightness setting too. All of these features are operated using the included wireless RF hand held remote. This controller includes our Quick-Switch feature which when paired with a simple on/off switch will allow the controller to be turned on/off via a hard wired switch (mounted on the dash for example) as well.

The CONTROLLERS navigation tab on this product page has additional details on this controller option.

MULTI COLOR CONTROL OPTIONS

RGB MULTI-COLOR OPTION: The multi-color RGB LED version provides over 16 million color combinations that you control and includes its own on/off wireless switch. The multi-color RGB kit requires the GEN2 Heavy Duty combo Bluetooth + RF controller so you can control the lights with your Bluetooth enabled smartphone or the included wireless RF G2 M7 remote control. The BLUETOOTH navigation tab on this product page has additional details. With any of the Boogey Lights® BLUETOOTH controllers you can control your lights with your Bluetooth enabled Android or IOS smartphone. These high-tech controllers are capable of displaying 16 million different color combinations. In addition, lighting effects on the Smartphone controller are significantly more controllable in terms of speed and intensity. Each color and lighting effect is controlled by "sliders" or a color square on your smartphone screen so you can adjust the speed and intensity to get the lighting exactly the way you want it. Our controllers operate on 12vdc. Also, all of our Bluetooth Combo controllers include an RF remote control allowing for quick on/off of the controller. You can operate this controller with the included RF wireless remote OR you can use your Bluetooth enabled smartphone and our free smartphone APP (Android and IOS). Boogey Lights® RF Controllers will display seven colors (steady on + four lighting effects): RED, GREEN, BLUE, WHITE, LIGHT BLUE, BOOGEY LIGHTS GREEN (LIME GREEN/YELLOW), HOT PINK/PURPLE. The lighting effects options for our RF Controller include: DIMMING, BLENDING, BREATHING, STROBING. In the Blending, Breathing and Strobing modes these features can be set to remain on a single color or to cycle through each of the 7 colors. You can also adjust the speed at which this happens. The RF remote control offers SEVEN levels lighting effects (e.g. 7 levels of dimming). For the DUAL ZONE Heavy Duty LED controller, these functions work independently per zone OR both zones together.

Quick Switch: The Quick Switch feature comes standard on our HEAVY DUTY SINGLE ZONE and HD DUAL ZONE LED Controllers (all RGBxx controllers).  Whatever color LED you have connected to the WHITE output wire on the controller is the color that will display when the Quick Switch is triggered with 12vdc +.  The most common use for this configuration is with commercial vehicles who want to be able to instantly turn off whatever color they're running and turn on a DOT compliant AMBER which is on our RGBA LED strips. For these installations, the yellow trigger wire is connected to a toggle switch or other wireless switch that activates the AMBER leds.   When the Quick Switch trigger wire is not energized, the LED controller operates the RGBxx diodes normally. NOTE: This Quick Switch feature eliminates the need to use a relay for RGBA LEDs.

Single Zone or Dual Zone: If ordering RGB, you have your choice of a SINGLE ZONE or DUAL ZONE GEN2 Heavy Duty LED Controller. As the name suggests, a SINGLE ZONE controller has one lighting zone. All LEDs wired to that zone display the same color and features. For DUAL ZONE, there are two distinct lighting zones. All LEDs wired to Zone 1 operate the same. All LEDs wired to Zone 2 operate the same. Each zone can be used independently or together.

ALUMINUM CHANNEL + PLASTIC DIFFUSER

This light kit intluces our ALUMINUM CHANNEL with PLASTIC DIFFUSER on top. If you look at the photo gallery for this product you'll see where we have used the Aluminum Channel on a number of wreckers including a rollback. Not only does the aluminum channel and diffuser protect the LED strip the opaque plastic diffuser gives off a nice glow lighting effect too. The Mini T12 Aluminum Channel is a low profile design that can be mounted just about anywhere. It has an anodized finish (electrostatic sprayed) which provides maximum protection against the elements. They're ideal for harsh indoor or outdoor use to protect the LEDs. The channel can be mounted any number of ways including adhesive tape, rivets or screws. For flatbed body lighting, we typically rivet the channel to the aluminum bed. Then, the LOW PROFILE LED strips fit nicely into the channel using the 3M tape already affixed to the back of Boogey Lights LED rolls. The diffuser completes the installation by snapping into the channel. On outdoor installations we advise adding some Lexel to the ends of the channel to seal it. We include Lexel with this kit for this purpose.

LEXEL CLEAR SEALANT INCLUDED

We use LEXEL CLEAR ADHESIVE CAULK to help protect our LOW PROFILE LED strips in installation scenarios where the Low Profile strip is mounted in a way that allows water to pool around the led strip - or to be trapped inside an enclosure such as aluminum channels with diffusers on top - for long periods of time. This is particularly true for installations where the Low Profile LED strip is mounted on the side of a vehicle or facing upwards. Some examples include flatbed and wrecker body side light installations, cRV Roof Accent lights, RV End Cap lights, Food Trailer roof perimeter lights and others. Also used in situations where the Low Profile LED strip has to be cut to seal the end of the strip itself. We use this too to seal the ends of aluminum channels when the Low Profile LED strip is installed inside the channel with a diffuser on top (photos below). While our Low Profile LED strips are water proof, they are not marine grade submersible. They cannot sit or be submersed in water. They have to be able to dry out. If they sit in water, they will fail prematurely which is not covered under warranty.

We like LEXEL over others in that it dries clear (doesn't impact the amount of light the LED chips emit) and most importantly, it's petroleum based. A petroleum based sealant is required so the material will adhere to the Low Profile LED strip coating. A water based sealant will absolutely not work. One 10.5 ounce tube will go a long way. Highly recommend.

NOTE: We provide this product as a convenience to customers. We are not the manufacturer. You can purchase this product elsewhere for less.

NOTE ON COLOR SELECTION

In most cases AMBER is the only color that can be used when driving on public highways in the United States. This is one reason why our Multi-Color RGB kit is popular. It allows you to change the colors to fit the situation. For example, we've found white to be very helpful when parked for working around the truck at night. Also, the controller in our Multi-Color RGB kit allows you to setup presets for your color selections as well as features which include dimming, strobing, breathing and color blending. As an example, for maximum visibility in emergency situations such as when parked on the side the road, with the Multi-Color RGB option you can program the lights to flash red. Or, rotate through a sequence of red and amber.

For those who want the option to run RGB plus AMBER, select our RGBA led strip. In this configuration, you can wire the AMBER led chip to a simple on/off switch (not included) while using the included RF + Bluetooth wireless LED controller to mix up to 16 million color combinations and presets.

WHAT IS PRIORITY PROCESSING?

If the product configuration you're purchasing is eligible for PRIORITY PROCESSING, you can select 'YES' (default is 'NO') and your order will be given priority in our build queue such that we'll build and ship your order using the shipping method you select at checkout within TWO business days (or less) regardless of what the current build time estimate states. You can read more about our BUILD TIME ESTIMATE here.

Business Day Note: The 'Business Day' cut off time is NOON Eastern. If for example you place your order before noon on Monday, we'll build and ship your order no later than Wednesday. If you place that same order after 12 noon eastern on Monday, we'll build and ship your order no later than Thursday. If for some reason we're unable to do this (e.g. out of stock item or some other limitation), we'll reach out to you via email to ask how you want to proceed: Either cancel the order or ship the order normally and refund the Priority Processing fee paid.

Be aware that not all product configurations are eligible for Priority Processing. For example, if your light kit has an LED CONTROL CENTER in it, we do not offer Priority Processing on that order. Also, we exclude high demand lighting components that are often purchased in bulk by commercial accounts (eg. RED 75 Heavy Duty LED strips).

Priority Processing is offered per line item, not per order. If your order has multiple LED light kits or LED strip components on it, only those products that are eligible for Priority Processing (and selected as YES) will be shipped within the two business day time frame. Any remaining light kit products will be shipped via ground per our normal build time estimate. If your order has other non-LED components on it (e.g. controllers, switches, replacement parts, wire, 3M primer, etc), we will ship them with the priority processing item.

Does this mean that orders placed ahead of mine are being pushed back?

Absolutely not. The Priority Processing fees we collect allow us to pay the higher costs associated with using after-hours personnel to build light kits to meet the two business day time constraint.

If I upgrade my shipping to 2 day or overnight, does this speed up the build time?

No. Upgrading your shipping service speeds up the time it takes for your order to arrive once it is built and leaves our facility. Upgrading the shipping method has no bearing on the build queue processing time. For example, if regular ground shipping is 5 days, you can upgrade your shipping method to Next Day, Two Day or even Three Day so the order arrives at your location faster.

OTHER ITEMS YOU MAY NEED

No two installation scenarios are the same. Not everyone shares the same installation quality goals. Some folks are OK with twisting wires together, others want to solder them. Some folks are OK with running wires where they may be seen or unprotected to save money/time, others want a tidy, clean install without any wires showing. Some folks are OK with mounting their LED strips to whatever surface they can find, others want to take the time necessary to build out appropriate mounting surfaces to provide the best lighting effect on their vehicle. The point is it's not possible to provide all the materials necessary for all installation scenarios and quality goals. Our light kits provide the essential components needed for a high-quality, functioning lighting system. Installation of our light kit to your specific vehicle may however require additional items to make it look and fit the way you want. This is particularly the case with electrical wiring and mounting of LED strips. Before proceeding with your installation we suggest you consider THESE OTHER ITEMS.

WHAT'S INCLUDED
The quantity and length of LOW PROFILE LED Strips you select from the available product options. Available in your choice of LED Color. Single color and RGB multicolor configurations.  Black PCB. Each LED strip includes 15' of 22awg power lead wire permanently attached and sealed at one end.
The quantity and length of ALUMINUM CHANNELS W/DIFFUSERS to match the length of the LOW PROFILE LED Strips you select. The Aluminum Channels are available in your choice of silver (typical aluminum look) and black. The diffuser is plastic and is opaque. The Aluminum Channels are produced in lengths of 1 meter (~39") and 2 meters (78"). You'll receive more aluminum channel than needed for your installation so some cutting of these channels (and plastic diffusers) will be required to do the installation.
We include 50' of 18AWG power lead cable to make the connections from the LED strip power leads to the power source. Depending on your truck, you may need to purchase additional 18awg (or heavier) power lead wire which we offer here on our website; or, it can be purchased locally too.
If you order Single Color LEDs, we do not include any switching mechanisms unless you specifically add one (default is none). We assume you're going to connect them to an existing system. If so, we encourage you to double check amperage settings. Boogey Lights LEDs are the brightest available. As such, they'll draw more amperage than the original OEM lights. We strongly encourage you to use a RELAY when wiring up Single Color LEDs.
The RGB Multi-Color LED version requires our GEN2 Heavy Duty Bluetooth + RF Combo RGBx Controller with G2 M7 wireless remote control to operate. Your choice of Single Zone or Dual Zone. Single Zone has a max capacity is 1800 LEDs. Dual Zone has a max capacity of 3000 LEDs (1500 per zone). See CONTROLLERS tab on this product page for more details on these two GEN2 Heavy Duty LED controller options.

Low-Profile Strip Installation

Our Low Profile LEDs are 'low profile' for easy-to-conceal placement. IP65 rated. RGB and Single color low profile LED strip width is 3/8" (10mm). Height is 1/8" (3mm). Lengths of the low profile LED strips vary based on the number of LEDs ordered. For this product, we offer our Low Profile LED strips in one foot increments. The LED strip can be cut in the field if needed. Each Low Profile LED strip has a 15" power lead hard wired to it. The other end of the power lead is bare wire.

NOTE ON INSTALLATION of LOW PROFILE LED STRIPS on FLATBED BODY SIDES

1. For LED strips that are installed flat against the side of a service truck like these are, we strongly suggest smearing some LEXEL CLEAR ADHESIVE on the high-side of the LED strip. Doing so will help protect the side of the LED strip from water intrusion. We include LEXEL in this light kit for this purpose. Be sure to use it. LED strips that are mounted on the side of the vehicle tend to allow liquids to 'pool' on the high side of the strip. If that liquid is allowed to sit there for a while, it will eventually work it's way in-between the PCB and the protective coating. And, if that liquid is caustic, it can erode or eat away at the Epoxy/Polyurethane coating allowing water intrusion into the circuit.

2. When installing Boogey Lights LOW PROFILE flatbed side led strips it's important to simply unroll the LED strips and push them to the aluminum channel surface AS YOU GO versus pulling on the LED strip and pushing the strip to the surface when it is tight. This is a super important concept to understand if you want your lights to last. The natural tendency is to pull tightly on the LED strip to keep it straight and level when mounting horizontally BUT doing so means the solder joints in the LED strip will be installed under maximum tension from day one. Mounting the strips this way doesn't allow any room for the solder joint to move, contract or expand as needed over time. LED strips installed this way will fail prematurely at that solder joint every time. Not a matter of if but when. Strips that fail due to improper installation are not covered under warranty.
